RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue)
Ed has wide experience in the field of soft tissue surgery including ENT surgery, reconstructive surgery, recto-anal surgery, thoracic surgery, gastrointestinal and genitourinary surgery, oncological surgery and hepatic surgery including portosystemic shunts.
Ed graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1996. He worked in a mixed practice in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, before undertaking training positions at the RVC, University of Liverpool, and University of Cambridge. He passed the specialist Diploma examinations of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2003.
He was a senior surgeon and member of academic staff at the University of Bristol School of Veterinary Sciences before joining Vale Referrals in 2014.
Ed has been an external examiner at the Royal Veterinary College and Cambridge University and has been an examiner for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. He is currently the President of the Association of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgeons.
Ed is a European specialist in small animal surgery and an RCVS specialist in small animal surgery (soft tissue).
