Barbora Mala

Barbora qualified from the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno in 2019 and moved to the UK to follow her aspirations of becoming a specialist surgeon. After completing a rotating internship and a surgical internship at Vale Referrals, she took on a surgical assistant role while pursuing her certificate in small animal surgery.

In July 2023, she became an ECVS Resident in Small Animal Surgery, spending half her residency at Vale Referrals and the other half at Hamilton Specialist Referrals. Barbora enjoys all aspects of Small Animal Surgery but is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and minimally invasive procedures. 

Outside of work, Barbora enjoys jogging with her dog, Margaret. She used to be a passionate dancer and is always keen to take a dance class in her spare time.
