Vale Referrals are seeking an experienced oncology clinician (ideally diplomate/ MSc (Onc) level) to join their team of Specialists and Advanced Practitioners to provide a client focused clinical oncology service. Experienced Medicine clinicians and experienced residency trained medicine clinicians with a strong oncology interest would also be considered, with a view for Vale Referrals to support them through their MSc (Onc). You will be supported by our existing medicine team.

This role is to continue the development and expansion of an already established oncology department with a large stable case load.

Vale Referrals – who are we?

Vale Referrals is a long established multidisciplinary referral clinic situated 20 minutes north of Bristol and 20 minutes South of Gloucester and Cheltenham in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds yet close to the M5 and M4 corridor.

We are a dynamic, collaborative team consisting of clinicians in internal medicine, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, and diplomates in soft tissue surgery, dermatology and cardiology.

Vale Referrals is undergoing an exciting phase of expansion, including new clinical services and facilities. We pride ourselves on being forward-thinking, client focused veterinary practice focused on care, integrity, knowledge and support. Our team is ambitious and has a good, personal relationship with primary practitioners who refer to the clinic, as well as with the owners of the patients under our care.

We have a supportive team of interns and RVN’s to support you in your role.

Involvement in research and providing continuing education through outside providers is actively encouraged wherever possible and supported with flexible CPD time and a generous annual CPD allowance.

Required skills and qualifications

• Graduate vet degree with Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (or eligibility). Ideally at diplomate level or Msc (Onc) level or wishing to undertake Msc (Onc)
• Some experience of public speaking and provision of continuing education to primary practitioners
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues, referring veterinarians and clients
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential
