Maddy Freeman ECBS.ESEBT.SCBT(dir) Canine Bowen Therapist

Maddy is our canine Bowen therapist. She is qualified to treat people, dogs and horses. She also regularly treats a flock of rare breed sheep and has also treated cats and a bull! She spent three years studying with the European College of Bowen Studies, the European School of Equine Bowen Therapy and the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists, before then going on to co-develop the School of Canine Bowen Therapy which offers self interest and full practitioner training courses in canine Bowen to other Bowen therapists.

Maddy is particularly passionate about working breeds, especially working sheepdogs, but also loves to work with nervous and anxious dogs as she finds that Bowen works particularly well for them. She currently has one Collie called Tilly who she does canicross and hoopers with. Maddy is also a canine first responder instructor and runs regular courses in Gloucestershire. She works with local Team GB sled dog racer, Vickie Pullin and her racing dogs.

Maddy works with the team throughout the race season to help her dogs cope with racing on both dry land and snow in various disciplines including bikejor and kart. Vickie is a previous European champion and comes home from most race meets in the medals.

November 2017 has seen her come home from IFSS World Championships in Poland in 5th, 6th and 7th place in separate classes.
